Opening of La Via Campesina’s Sixth Conference ’Egidio Brunetto’
With a mistica which highlighted the power, unity and vitality of the movement, La Via Campesina’s Sixth Conference, named ’Egidio Brunetto’ in homage to this activist with the Brazilian Landless Peasant Movement. His approach was always based on principles of internationalism and solidarity, values which he also brought to the development of La Via Campesina throughout the last 20 years of its mobilisations and resistance.
